Description
Boutique hotel in a charming local neighbourhood!
The newly-renovated boutique hotel, Ibsens Hotel is located in a particularly charming part of Copenhagen, close to fascinating shops and restaurants, adjacent to picturesque lakes. "Strøget" - Copenhagen's premier shopping area, the metro and several beautiful parks are also just around the corner.
A dozen of the local shops and designers have put their solid fingerprint on the hotel with everything from lovely textiles and sculptures to an old record player. Ibsens is the first hotel to accept Artmoney as currency, and our Artmoney exhibition is for display in our breakfast restaurant.
Hotel facilities include: a spacious lounge with fireplace and library, a peaceful courtyard, a bar and access to the neighbouring Spa & Wellness centre (fee applies) and two restaurants; Italian "La Rocca" and Spanish "Pintxos"
All of the 113 rooms and 5 junior suites are equipped with a shower / tub and WC, telephone, cable TV, free wireless internet access and a great bed. The style is colourful with a hint of retro, and all rooms have been decorated with an eye for the personal detail.

Our x-large rooms are our particularly large rooms. Here is both elbow room and a 180 cm wide bed. Here is often also room for an extra bed or two, if the entire family is on vacation. We have named some of our x-large rooms - up under the roof - ¿Girls On Tour". These rooms accommodate 4 persons in each their single bed with lots of room for good laughs, deep talks and cold white wine.
The room are furnished in the Ibsens' style - colourful with a hint of retro. The rooms vary in square meters and bed size. The facilities are all the same: cable TV, wireless internet, desk, en suite bathroom and a comfortable bed - all included in the room rate. In the corridor ironing equipment is available.
NB: only non-smoking rooms.
Breakfast can be ordered during reservation (View available extras) or on arrival.

Daily cleaning staff a bit overly enthusiastic - the day of our leave they knocked at 10am (check out is 11). There were no cards to hang on the door to say "please don't disturb" which meant each day we had to yell that we were there when she knocked.

The room was at the top, under the eaves, with slanting ceiling and poor headroom. The bathroom was very unsatisfactory, because the shower drain was not effective so the entire bathroom floor filled with water if you took a shower. |
