I was hesitant about booking a deluxe room with dinner & breakfast because of the price ($400 for two of us for one night), but we ended up very satisfied with the experience we had for the money. We arrived 2 hours before check-in time & were allowed to head to our room early. The room was pleasant, very clean, & had attractive decor with high ceilings & a fantastic view of the pond. We enjoyed cakes & coffee in one of the castle's cozy & elegant drawing rooms. We took part in a wine tasting in the wine cellar. The sommelier walked us through each of the wines & shared some interesting history of the castle. We then explored the whole castle & were pleased to find that nearly every enormous & beautifully decorated common room was open for us to enjoy. Dinner was very good & included local fare. Dessert was incredible. Breakfast the next morning was buffet style & offered many options. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. |

A lovely hotel in great location. Generally a pleasant experience but just felt a little more attention to detail and friendliness on behalf of the waiters and waitresses would have made all the difference. Reception staff however were excellent. |
